Greatest Learning Experience.

I had one heck of a good learning experience the other day reading from these forums. So I would like to hear of the best learned experience (in chess) you remember. I'll post mine later when I have the time. Can't wait to read this later when I got some time.

Best experience was learning how to stop the scholar's mate. Rating jumped to 1450.

Close second is when returning after a 12 year hiatus.  Instead of complicating the position, I started using sound positional chess and improved 100 points. (Rating inflation?)

Yes, Scholar's Mate is a nice one to defend against. But I don't know how your Rating went to 1450 over it... But thanks for sharing.
