Greetings!

Just wanted to say HELLO to all and I look forward to interacting with this wonderful Chess community! I am a Classical Art Music composer and I believe that there is a lot in common between the game of Chess and Classical music composition. I'm pretty sure that Chess can be akin to many different areas of interest (e.g. math, chemistry or any subject that requires strategy, etc.). Anyhow, I have been playing chess since I was a teen, but not really knowing any of the openings, middle game or end game techniques, just playing by the "seat of my pants." :) I am looking forward to to learning these techniques here at chess.com

I am going to purchase an upgrade memeber ship once I get the funds :) Until then, a free memebership will have to do.

welcome. I would second the idea of the upgraded membership. I believe, if you are serious about improving - or for that matter just having fun, its hard to find a better value for your buck (euro, peso, etc) than chess dot com.
