I am fairly new to the site and I noticed there is a Groups and Teams tab, but I don't see a section for it in the forums. So I apologize in advance if this is supposed to go somewhere else.
I would very much like to join a group or team that would play games with me and give some tips. Not sure if that is the purpose for the groups and teams, but if so could someone please point me in the right direction? There are so many different ones, I don't want to become just another number on their list.
I would start by applying to join Team Canada - participate in, or at least observe, their Vote Chess games. Make yourself known and ask the administrators for advice.
Thanks! I appreciate your help.
This is another team that sounds like it would be right up your alley as well:
I hope that was meant offensively, because I don't think I come across as gay. My wife would get a good laugh out of it though.
I guess thanks for trying to help...? Maybe next time you could just not try to help.
You are very welcome. Here is another group in which you won't be "just a number":
Sorry, I don't understand the insult. But hey, thanks for trying to keep me on my toes.
@ blerkold - Nice even handed response mate - Touche! Despite the best efforts of Chess.com staff there's always going to be infantile behaviour. The internet attracts all sorts ... but especially the puerile and the cowardly.
Give Team Canada a shot and send a message to "rigamagician" (one of the superadmins) - let him know I referred you and ask for his advice.
Thank you Benkobaby, I appreciate it!
