Has Anyone Ever Mouslipped a Move... and with it, the Game?

I play chess on the iPhone app so mouse slipping is really easy to do especially when you don’t have option to hover pieces.

I once went to capture a piece with my queen and fell one square short lol.

The worst for Sicilian players is mouse slip c6 and stuck with the Karo Cann....

Has anyone ever been playing blitz while tired, and played ~5 moves of theory in an opening without realizing you're playing a game? Then you sort of "wake up" and wonder what the opening was and look back to see what you did?

Has anyone ever been drunk and started 2 blitz games at once, and been parried with yourself, and because of premoves you play ~10 moves into the game without realizing you're playing yourself (not possible on chess.com as far as I know).

I've done both of those.

I guess that is the definition of a chess addict.

Haha thanks.

I use the iPhone app so it’s really easy to slip. Also, you have to be even more cautious because the app doesn’t let you hover pieces.

move 20. notice how my move time that move was shorter than any other move time, even in the opening.

How about having food cooking in the kitchen, and "just one more blitz game" until you've ruined the food / started a fire wink.png

I haven't started a fire, but I know at least one titled player who has.

Anyway, these are some things "chess addicts" (as you put it) do sometimes grin.png

Yep, done the cooking one myself, the clam chowder becomes a black mess in the bottom of a pan, and you only remember it when it starts to smell.

yeah i have made a lot of mouseslips and sadly my opponents rarely listen to me when i tell them in chat that i did

i mean, even if they listened, what happens? either way, you continue on with the game

Completely mouselipped and lost a piece.
