Brilliant moves are moves the computer doesn’t see as best at low depths, but then finds as the best move when looking at high depth.

Kind of like the way when you let Stockfish analyze at first and it says equal, but then when you let it think a while it says +10.

How do people share games? Thanks!

From what I’ve seen chess.com gives moves that are significantly better than others as brilliant

But I think it has something else so if

e5 and e4 wouldn’t be brilliant lol

2Kd21-0

This was a tournament I played I was black move 20... a6! it considered it brilliant but idk why...

My guess, but I’m not sure, is that you only get a brilliant if you get the move AND the follow-ups correctly. It probably won’t get a brilliant if you just randomly land on the right square.

All these labels are worthless.  You can have a mate in 1, or capture a queen.  You miss the mate in 1 and capture the queen.  Youre now up a queen, but the move will be labeled a blunder.

On your game 2Kd21-0 I would have preferably played g5# because I like pawn checkmates

I played 2 in one game.
here’s the game:
