Has anyone ever played a brilliant move??

You need to be brilliant to play a brilliant move. And it turns out you were too brilliant .

The last brilliant move I played, about a couple of weeks ago in a five minute game, wasn't a brilliant move. It was, quite simply, a book move in a Modern Benoni.

The silly assessment engine keeps giving varying assessments of my own variation on move 5 in the O'Kelly Sicilian. It either gives it as "excellent", "good" or "an inaccuracy". Can't make its mind up. Soon, it will give it as "brilliant", which it actually is but it's far too deep for engines to understand. They can't assess openings.

I never get brilliant moves. I had a 99 rated game today (I get a lot of 97s, but this was my first 99). In the game, the engine's "Best move" was mate in 11, and the move I made cuts that to mate in 7, but still no Brilliant. Sigh.

Heck yes I have! Of the games I have sought the computer's analysis I have not seen one of my moves labeled brilliant, but odds are I have. #jussayin 

Each and every move I make is bloody brilliant. Well occasionally an 'Excellent move' slips in here and there but all of the engine notations for my games are blue.

Low rated but I was able to randomly get a brilliant move. But to me it's just a best move and nothing super interesting. Or maybe the fact that I don't see why it's a brilliant move is what makes me an under 1k rated player.

i thought that self analysis didnt have brilliant moves?

then i dont have brilliant moves,also self analysis isnt great to analyze your games
