Have you ever had one of *those* nights?

I enjoy a couple of good games of chess every evening.  Tonight, however, I seem to keep getting paired up with the kinds of players that we all dread.

1) The guy who refuses to take your pieces.  In this particular match, my opponent refused to take my pieces.  At first I thought it was because he was reluctant to trade pieces, but his play was extremely odd.  I put a couple of undefended pieces out there - and he still refused to take them.

2) The guy who takes 4-5 minutes per move.  I'm not a particularly good chess player, so I know that my moves are not challenging enough to make someone ponder more than a few seconds.  I have had two of these guys tonight.  The individual with whom I am playing against while I am typing this post has used 16 minutes thus far to make eight (8) moves.  It is a 30 minute time limit.  This is painful.

3) The guy who refuses to make a move because he knows you are going to beat him.  You know the type.  He hopes that you will eventually lose patience and quit so his rating will go up.

It's just not my night.

1) easy win?

2) if you want people to move faster go to a lowertime limit

3)do something else while his clock runs down, you shoul be able to hear the piece clank when he moves, once again its still a win

Hi Dave... The majority of my games are the 10 minute live chess games
