Have you ever played a Grandmaster ?

I have the dubious distinction of having played 4 grandmasters who are no longer with us - Gufeld, Wojtkiewicz, Oll (who tragically committed suicide), and Bisguier. My tournament score against them is 2 out of 5 (played W. twice): +1-2=2.

I played GM Conrad Holt at the 2015 US Open. I got destroyed grin.png

Ben Finegold came to the Georgia Chess Club a few Friday nights so that his stepson could play chess. I got crushed. Not just once. Thrice.

I have played GM Jan Gustafsson in 3|2 once and lost on time, because I had internet problems. But that didn't help because I was already losing...hehe

I have played against a FM on ChessKid. I actually don't remember whether or not I won or lost. ChessKid never notifies when you lose or win, and at the time, I was playing 20 games, so I sorta forgot about the game. I tried going back to history, but it won't let me look that far. I did save this picture, however, when I started playing the FM:

It took 10 minutes to find this picture since I have hundreds of pictures stored in my computer, lol

I was in George Koltanowski's chess club in San Francisco in the 1955 + . . . He was an international master and blindfold champion . . . I lost all the games to him but because of him I learned to play blindfolded using descriptive notation . . .

Check out my profile "about me" I wrote about him . . .

That makes sense. 2Q always said he was gay.  I'll delete the comment after Staff deletes the Heath account.
