Indeed Muhammad. And really good threads only last 5 pages (max. 10), then it becomes off-topic and random. And then you have to wait for another sparkling topic to be inspired for posting. :)

If you feel the forums are boring, post something worthwhile. Alternatively, find better ways to spend your leisure time. Take a class at Coursera or something...
The drop in trolls is probably because they hit puberty and are chasing girls/boys at this point.
I have lowered how much time I spend here. Now it's down to about 2 hours on average.

we have threads like; "Can you pee in a tournament?" "Can you eat pizza in a tournament" "I'm in jail, what next?" "Racism & chess.com" Trysts is still spewing her hatred for America in somebody's thread about drone strikes in Afganistan. Polar Chess started a thread about using the Isis flag for an avatar, and Trysts is trying to convince people that Japan was trying to surrender before the A-bomb was dropped. And she can't site any sources http://historynewsnetwork.org/article/52502 Then we had a thread where Trysts & Wolfbird ganged up on Kayknight. I tried to start a thread on the Frozen Embryio controversy, but I guess that was too toxic for the forums.

No, I guess not. The OP noticed a cycle. Threads come & go. Sometimes the're all good for 6 months, and other times they belong in the toilet.

I'd like to argue or discuss with them but because of blocking, you have to start parallel threads. I can't post in her movie thread, and polar chess rubs me wrong. But they can post in my threads, I don't block them.
