One idea is to have a lower division for demented posters. Then they can be relegated when they post enough plonk. They will have to get their act together to get back into the premier league unless they want to continue posting plonk in the doldrums.
What can be done to get the forums back to life?

Next we will have a cup for the demented posters in lower division and a cup for the premier league, and the champions league will be included in V3.

When I first experienced the forums here, there was much more activity. There were more participants across the board. People did more exhaustive research, and we were allowed to be funny .
The term troll was not coveted like it is with some of these "New Age" trolls who lack imagination and couldn't tell a joke if they were walking into bar with a priest and a rabai.
I think much of the restriction of topics came about as a result of a misunderstanding of what "hijacking" a thread means. Some posters insisted that all responses MUST remain within the narrowly defined parameters of some topic that they've deluded themselves into thinking is very important.
A forum topic should be allowed to meander like an actual conversation. Then maybe we coul bring back some clever posters and eliminate these dim witted "vigilante troll1s

Also a group of forum guerrillas would be good. Anyone causing trouble can get their ass erased from the premier league on sight.

I wouldn't even bother entering the premier league in the first place, I'd get kicked out quickly enough anyways.

What if they use their power illegally?
Then a 2nd guerilla group would be formed to overthrow the first group and chess.com would turn into a guerilla war with civilians suffering the biggest losses.
Trolls make us sick.
