No, it was not sound, as far as I can see. Your position was strong enough to justify a sacrifice, but I don't see that your particular sacrifice accomplished much of use. If you don't know why you're making a sacrifice, then don't make it. You had better positional moves leading up to that point, besides, like 10. a6

2...e6, 3.d3, 5.d4, 9.Nb5, 10.N1c3, 10...Bb4, and 11...Bxc3, were bad.
After 13.Bd3 I like the idea to open the center because his king is there, very good.
After 18.Qxd3 or 23.Kf1 (almost forcing the queen trade) I'm not sure black has anything. So, somewhat counter intuitively, should look at moves 13-15 for improvement.
Was my sacrifice sound? And how was my style of play, should I go less agressive?
