Help me with my openings! I keep losing

Sort:
Avatar of Cherub_Enjel

I lost yet another game recently. I'm really sick and tired of this. This game I lost in 25 moves only (yeah I resigned, but I think I was lost, since I was down a pawn).

I need someone to recommend me some openings, because I keep losing playing this opening.

This is the game I'm talking about:

Maybe what you need is not another opening, but instead a complete 3 method change in perspective.

The changes in perspective have to do with:

1. Center control theory

2. Pawn advance theory

3. Siege Warfare theory

If your are interested please let me know.

You can also download your game into "computer analysis".  This analysis will give you summary which of yours moves was "mistake" or "blunder" and the best alternative move in this situation. I think you know it. But if you will not still understand why computer chooses this move and not the another you can say "finish vs computer" at highest level. So you can try to find out several answers for yours moves.

You know I was thinking.  I kind of miss 2IQ.  No, I really do.  It's nice that Cherub is trying to emulate him so that we won't feel so lost without him, however, when he does it, it's just not the same.  I vote 2IQ as the better troll, seeing how he is obviously less intelligent than Cherub, seeing how Cherubs Trolls have been a lot more clever than just merely asking a stupid loaded question.  I have to say Cherub is a lot more clever than 2IQ, which is why I vote we bring 2IQ back, so we know, that we are dealing with an amateur, rather, than dealing with this... Lord knows what, kind of animal!  When I argue against a troll I want to have some type of meaningful dialog, however, with Cherub, all we get is the "I'm not trolling neener neener."  Actually 2IQ just merely played the oblivious card, and apparently, Cherub has decided to go with the, "You're not responding to my question," card and just merely stating that he is not trolling and calling the kettle black.  I liked it better when I could just jeer at 2IQ for writing a stupid question.  With Cherub, there are no stupid questions, because the whole post is based on idiocy, yet, cannot be proven!?!?!  Because we aren't rated high enough to be able to prove it!!!

If I said no one below 1500 blitz rating knows the truth to what I just said would you believe me?  I wouldn't, and neither would I believe no one who said anyone below 2000 just wouldn't understand, or is too dumb to understand, while in their name you see their rating is conveniently 2000 or above.

I mean who gives anyone the right to say, only an x rated person would know something like that...  not that something like that can be said at times, though, I believe, Cherub has taken it too far, and his trolling as well.  I think he will lose popularity because of this, and eventually lose his job, his wife, and she will take his money and the kids.  There will be no more honey because there is no more money.  All there will be is a sad Cherub, in a park, trying to hustle a hustler that is 300 rating points above him so that he can make ends meat.  I'm mean totally a descending into homeless is the direct route to being a troll of this magnitude, just look at what happened to 2IQ....  All I am saying Cherub is to stop before all of this happens.  You have the power to change!  Stop your inner troll, and start arguing with substance, rather than resorting to trollish tactics like these.

You call this a discussion?

Oh I get it he is mimicking 2IQ, Kindadododdledoo, and V all at the same time!  Wonder who else fits his new troll personality.  I think you've made your point Cherub....  You're actually giving me a reason not to post on the forums anymore, getting yourself muted on 2IQ, and now poorly mimicking him among others when you know you can because you are 2IQ.  You seem to be making a lot of fun out of the "beginning chess player," more than anyone though.  I gather you are letting out some steam.  Okay, I'll wait till you finish letting off your steam, or get bored of all of this.  I don't know which will come first.

not sure which is sadder.  that the op has descended to this (like not even trying) or that some folks are actually trying to help him.

i suspect it goes way earlier than that ...

I think u underestimate 2Q1C's trolling. I have been in many sites and his trolling is one of the very best. Just see how many ppl respond to his threads and take him very seriously, even when he says the most unbelievable things.

cherub on the other hand, never says something totally crazy and I am not sure he is even trolling.

Hm... Actually I just realized something... my big mistake happened on move 24.

It must have been the opening that caused this mistake somehow.

Anyways, does anyone have any suggestions?

Openings do not win games.

On the contrary, I insist that they do.

A counterexample to your ridiculous claim:

why does no-one know that the opening is the only important part of the game. every game has an opening so it must be the most important. who needs tactics.

Alkane is right.

*I actually played white in that first game.

*The opening had absolutely 0 to do with the fact that black blundered the f6 and h6 pawns on move 23, in an otherwise equal position.

*black's opening was actually quite a success.
