Help to explain this move

Hi,

I am new to chess.  Whilst playing against a bot on chess.com, the hint suggested me to move the rook from A1 to B1.  After moving it out of curiosity, I was expecting the black queen to take it, but they didnt.   

Can anyone explain to me how the suggested rook move was a good one and why the queen didn't take it.

After taking the rook, white's bishop can check the king and then the queen is hanging

After taking, the dark-squared bishop can go Ba3 check, and the white queen is threatening the black queen

I only just saw that I have some replies! thank you so much for taking the time to answer my question . Now that i have played a few more months I can see that move.
