Well. I'm only a 9 something rank. But my brother is 1300. He reads chess books. I don't care personally about getting way better I just play for fun but he reads books and does puzzles and he beats me and he's 10 years younger too. I've also figured out that playing defensively helps me to beat others by time. Also helps force them to make moves while I'm just holding my ground this makes them more likely to make mistakes. Hope this helps. You got any tips for me?
