Hey there,
There are a lot of great ways to improve your positional strength, but one of the best (in my opinion) is to study positional masterpieces from the greats. Games from Capa, Nimzo, Karpov, or Petrosian - to name a few - can inspire your own play and give you some ideas of items to look for in your own games.
Hope that helps.
I have noticed that I often loose tight games in very positional midgames. This wouldn't be a bummer, but I absolutely LOVE to play openings such as the Najdorf sicilian, the open sicilian, the franco sicilian, the french defense, and the caro kann, among others. I am looking for advice on how to improve my positional chess thought, such as good practice, good puzzles, and good reads on the topic of positional chess. Any advice is valid, so please help.
Thank You for viewing this, and thank you in advance for advice,
Sincerely,
Phillovesdaddy
