Help with SCID Tree Mask

Hi everyone! I'm use SCID everyday, but I can't understand how to use Tree Mask tool. Is it worth it?
I would pleased to see any example of using Tree Mask in analyze or in other actions.
Can someone share usecase in which Tree Mask has maximum potential? Or share example of your daily using of Tree Mask?
