Help?!

I've been experimenting with a new opening and have had reasonable success with it. I can't, however, find any research on it, and am seaking better players to weigh in on it.

e4, c5, nf3, d6, b4?

Thanks for giving me its name it helped alot. And a5 is painful to white's position, but at that point, cant you exchange toward the center? and if the opponent accepts the b4 gambit, isn't d4 compensation?

The question is, will there be enough compensation for a full pawn when you play your d4.

Really, really briefly, you need to win or at least generate some material gain (like any gambit) because an attrition situation does not favor you.

It's probably not sound, but it's fun as hell.

Sometimes I find it handy to look up openings by simply googling the opening 2 moves. In your case Google searching "e4 c5 nf3 d6" came up with the following site as the first search result: http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Chess_Opening_Theory/1._e4/1...c5/2._Nf3/2...d6

I like to go over old games by looking up the openings in this manner. Then next time I run into it I will hopefully have a shot at recognizing it and be better able to choose my response.
