The disdain shown toward him is excessive (in my opinion). Sure, he's been known to throw an occasional tantrum and/or be hypocritical. But it's all relatively mild, if you ask me. Much ado about nothing.
I have family members who behave much worse. 
(BTW I've been watching Hikaru play online for about 20 years now. Back then, he played on ICC and went by the name "Smallville" ...)

Yep exactly. Hikaru doesn't care about "growing the game." He just wants to grow his number of subscribers.
my (relatively minor) dislike of Naka is that he has this opportunistic American hussle mentality when someone of his standing really doesnt need to be that way, combined with smug childish jerk tendencies.
