As an add to what mandelshtam say about the proof (need to play agaist the strongest programs), I also pointed out that a pretender to a title of the best in "man plus programs" play need to demonstrate it in corespodent games agaist the best players acording to ICCF (which alowed use of programs). The rating-list of ICCF is here. Maybe cheater_1 is one of those guys on the top?
A game against a team proof nothihg - a strength in playing chess didn't grow so much when u combined a team of people of lower level. We must be modest here at chess com: the best players here has a FIDE rating less then 2500, what means there are not in top 1000 in the world. And I suppose (maybe I am wrong, sorry!) that nobody is at the level of ICCF GMs. And if we combine our powers, we could be better, but I supose still not on the top level. So, play against the best, programs and humans, individually - it's the way!

All are GMs - without a computer won't play like cheater_1-or-whatver-without-a -computer. Specially, Berliner played a game in the 1968 world correspondence championship which is included in many collections of chess brilliancies [Estrin-Berliner 1968. 2 knights defence - ulvestad var.]
Cheater_whatever - i cant remember the name nor can be bothered to scroll up to see - reminds me of that peeping-tom guy in the film Sliver - specially because the last sentence of the film is Sharon Stone telling him "get a life!" before walking out of his [non-]life.
And if cheater_bullshitter's claim is true then he has proved *constructively* that chess is at least a draw for white. That is a most intersting combinatorial-game-theory result! Why isn't he publishing it and becoming world famous? [this result would be deeper than "PRIME is in P (Agarwal et al)" ]

I stopped playing correspondence long ago since it eats to much time (I was pretty good: i won a GDR students championship 1985, and two master's tournaments, i was second in the last GDR championshipwhich ended 1991).
I belive to know how to combine my abstract strength with the analytic strength of a computer program, I could make a "team".
My remark about being able to beat the new program gur sure was provocative, but if I lose myself in nights of analysis, i believe i can do it.
With much less effort, any of the ICCF-top playesr would beat GURU, i am sure.

Cheater_1 is not one of the top guys in correspondence chess.
Vote chess sound to me as a strange idea, and false method to chose the best move. It's a team of 850 people in the game, and most of them must be worser then me (for 98% people here has smaler rating then mine). It can hapen that in critical position they outvoted me, for they don't see a point. So, in place on to thinking, I must spent my time to convince them that my analyisis (or intuition...) is better. Some kind of politics, not chess (as Plato said, sophistes can be more convincing then experts). Or I can simple follow leaders, who seems to be stronger then me (as webgogs with his experinece iwith programs).
Only eficient team, IMHO, coud be composed of a few high-ranked players (rating >2300 here or so).
Internet chess is not serious, Cheater_1. I guess you played only games with short time, and against guys like me, who are very slow, and weak (I have elo 2265).
Maybe players with a minimum rating should have been allowed to play in this game(i.e. >1800).It is easy for Erik to eliminate all the others.I don't mind if I won't vote at the next game against him.

First off, I am COMBINING my personal skills at chess (I have played legitimately for over 30 years. I Have successfully cheated at 2 USCF events using a wireless earpiece and micro camera--and got away with it. Also, I have contributed to the Svenska schackdatorföreningen (SSDF), have co-written an auto playing chess program that moves the pieces for you so you can cheat at one minute games, and INTIMATELY know the inner workings of chess programs. 99.9% people here underestimate me. These combined talents of mine FAR EXCEED some PUNK who is merely transposing moves from Fritz or Rybka. I would checkmate a person more often than draw a person who is just transposing moves from an OUT OF THE BOX program.

Cheating in a chess tournament with "a little man in your ear", that is the first thing you wrote that I CAN believe that you have really done. Cheater_1, you are disgusting . This thread should be shut down.
In Germany, there was the famous case of a certain 1900 - player Alwermann, who did the same...
He received attention after sharing prices in two open tournaments , with GM's.
He never admitted the cheating, but his moves were checked : there was a huge coincidence with Fritz 9 ! In one game he even announced, immediately after his opponent (a russian GM) had moved, a mate in 9 moves. Later the position was given as an exercise to a team of about 10 IM's and GM's , they found the solution after half an hour only...
Alwermann is now excluded from all tournaments in germany.
Im confused- I was under the impression you could get banned from the site for using chess programs to help with your moves? Or is this guy an exception?

Chess.com's team comprised mostly very weak players, with a sprinkling of sub-IM strength masters.
cheater_1 used a whole battery of programmes, claiming to have an understanding of them beyond way beyond that of our team.
Not only that, but he had access to chess.com's analysis as the game proceeded - a fabulous advantage!
Despite all this, he actually contrived to obtain a losing - or close to losing - position before walking away.
The reality is that he's actually an ordinary geek who can play chess at a mediocre level. The only interesting thing about him is his psychopathology.
All I'm saying is that I have INVENTED a new chess methodology...a new way of playing chess. Sure, I will never go down as the winningest chess player of all time, or even close. But from my unique perspective, I will have a title that is just as good, if not better:
Chess GURU plays tens of thousands of internet chess games without ever being CHECKMATED!!!
My formula has ENSURED that I am 100% unmateable. Chess programs are always evolving. Hardware is CONSTANTLY being upgraded. I know a bit about programming and have coworkers who know a lot. What we have done is rewritten and altered code that does NOT produce a stronger program than what it started out as, but turned the chess program into a 2,000,000 ton piece of lead that is IMMOVABLE. INDESTRUCTABLE. It just EXISTS. If you don't like it, you must go around it. There is no way to remove it. It's not mean or angry or gonna hurt you, but it will remain there FOREVER.
As with ANY piece of software, as you all know, there are FLAWS upon FLAWS. Things just waiting to be exploited. It takes some work, but you can make a chess program play in such a way that it will always draw. Heck, I would wager that I could draw DEEP BLUE 10 out of ten times if we had these correspondence time controls.
I don't belive you. (i don't think that anyone here does.) If I would against your program (of course , with a little help of my friend, FRITZ), I win.
Since program and human together are better than any program.
Further, your selfconfidence makes me suspicious. There are plenty of strong teams out there (Rybka, shredder,...) you MUST first PROVE your claim in matches against those programs. THEn you can come forward , and be as arrogant as you are now.
