Try changing the sound theme. Does it solve it?

Yay thanks must have been coming in and out of beta that changed it. The "marble" sound theme seems the most Staunton-ey. Anyone who likes that Nature and Metal theme they have drugs for that sort of thing.

The "marble" sound = wood, I have a granite board so I think I have some idea. and the "metal" theme is just like what you would hope a bullet train should sound like! I have a clinky clunky solid brass set NOTHING like that spacey sound.
the spacey sound is like...a space game from the year 1995 lol. The sound it makes when the spaceship fires xD

I dont think the marble sound differs much from a normal one.

A club I was part of when I was 10 got an original space invader two player glass top table, I remember that sound like it was yesterday xD It might have been one of the first colour models
why does the "take" sound now sound like a dementor swooping down, why can't it just sound like it used to? Chess sound?
this site is crazy sometimes. I might have to turn the sounds off when I am on this site if this is what we are stuck with.
