I don't understand how you can lose to a 1000 then beat two 1500s.
Vs 1000 you should be a knight up practically out of the opening.

That usually IS the case but for some reason I performed better losing that game than I would have had I won that game, or so it seems.
The pairings I gave weren't kids ratings either...
It seems silly that they could not manually create the pairings. I mean, doing 18 by hand takes at most 5 minutes.
Organizers and supporters of kid's chess are great, but sometimes they're pretty clueless about the game itself (running a tournament included).

Is it worth noting that the "483" is still u600 and has been since the tournament after his first when he received an initial rating of 611?
I suppose you could say that if the pairings were done correctly this wouldn't happen, but then what about when losing generates a higher rated opponent and winning generates a lower one?
