how a3 h3 h6 a6 controls the center ?
It is not always good or necessary to play moves such as these. But sometimes it is because as a basic example let us say white has a Nf3 controlling the centre. Black can play Bg4 pinning the Nf3 to the Qd1 and so the Nf3 cannot move or the queen is lost, so the Nf3 no longer controls the centre. And next move black can play Bxf3 removing the knight and weakening the central control. Thus white plays h3 to prevent Bg4 and the Nf3 is secure as is the centre from this possibility.
hi
i am adding one example along with the question eg. in najdorf , najdorf sevenengien this a6 is common and so in modern benoni. And many modern player alike korchinoy plays such moves even in 3rd move or in early in opening irrespective of color of pieces but how to understand such move by intuition ? but not always it is clear specifically when players concentrate on development of pieces mostly ... (it is kind of move that players play it considering it as a longterm move. ) how to predict it ?
thx in advance

They made a documentary about it that answers this exact question. I'll post it below so you can watch it.
It's Russian so you know it's good. The guy singing is the current world chess champion so be sure you watch the whole thing.
