Plus, if anyone wondering what "Glicko' means, it's chess.com's rating system. not elo, elo is for fide and national ratings (ecf, knsb, dsb, etc)
How Chess.com Tricked 1 Billion People!
I built a free unlimited chess.com alternative chessmate
So many people think clickin "game review" is equal to analyzing games. But that's what makes chess.com sell good. because they will also boost your ego with estimated ratings, and accuracies. Analyzing a game means:
1. Don't click on game review
2. Go slowly through your game, and learn from your mistakes (note and save them to find common blenders/mistakes)
3. Then, use the engine. Warning! Don't use game review, just plain engine. Because game review misleads you, and also often tends to give better scores to low rated players. For example, when we played the excact same game, a 400 friend of mine saw that the same move was classified as good move, while the excact same move for me was classified as inaccuracy. So it's misleading and commercial.
So use the engine to check your analysis process, and check it.
4. Study from your mistakes. When you have enough common data of your blunders and mistakes and missteps in the opening etc, you can see which kinds of mistakes or blender you made mostly. exempli gratia some random guy named DigglyDitcher67 (made up name) makes oftenly mistakes in the endgame, you should increase your endgame study by a chunk.
Conclusion:
So that's what youve been doing wrong. gm's say: analyze games!!!! and you think, oh lemme just click this greeny buton, and then proceeding to check the estimated rating (inflated by 69420 glicko), and also you shouldnt only analyse your wins. preferabbly all games, but rather losses than wins. if that makes sanse.
I'm limited to one game review per day because non-paying. I occasionally use one if I want a laugh. You should be able to sell them.

233m members as of now and counting.
Probably just number of accounts and with all that multi accounting and account abandoning going on, the real numbers should fall tremendously.
So we can take comfort in that fewer are being tricked.
But good post - hope more people read it and learn, when they're not chasing achievements and modifying their pfps and flairs and wondering if they're popular in the forums and ...
I click "Game Review", see my 34% accuracy, laugh and go on
This is no laughing matter. Think of the children!
Clicking on game review is like being given the answers to a test. Yes you'll get 100% but you won't learn anything unless that gold star and "well done!" is what you're after.
This is no laughing matter. Think of the children!
They can review my games and laugh too

You did think of the children! The community thanks you.
Sawdof my comment is not meant to demean the site. It's an honest assessment. If the site doesn't like it they can close my account. This isn't the only chess site. But I imagine the site more mature than that.

The bunny knows but couldn't help himself
As a player without any membership, I also find it WAY too misleading about their "one game review a day" Many times I have been clicking on the button to analyse my games (yes I know it's called game review but as an english learner I don't really make the difference yet) without clicking on "start game review". But then I see my daily game review has already been done although I just saw the accuracy. What's even worse is that I can't even go back to the game and using my game review because it already counted it even if it was only the first page. So I used may game review to not be able to analyse my game move by move. Maybe it's a skill issue from myself but I still find it pretty tricky
