Unfortunately I've been on the forums almost every day for 10+ years.
This means I recognize new people instantly, without even checking 
I can just look at the name and avatar... that's also how I noticed necroed topics. Someone comments in a topic from 2010? Whoa, all these people I haven't seen in years? I instantly know.
