How did I choke?

I played a 15|10 Rapid game and I was completely winning at the end. My opponent got a lucky knight fork and then I still had an advantage!! But then I just choked in the endgame somehow and it was a draw by repetition. Anyone help?

You repeated the position 3 times. If I remember correctly you can draw by repetition even if it’s not in a row. If you are losing go for a draw and if you’re winning don’t draw.

I know I repeated the position but there was nothing else to do
