Got a message from chess.com that my rating had been adjusted due to an opponent cheating. How do you find out who cheated?  I play a lot of games and have no idea who it may have been.  Thanks, BFG

Look at your game history and look for closed accounts., they'll have a little 🚫 next to their name.

Just look at games till you find someone's that has a big red mark beside their name that's the person that is banned

Just assume they're all cheating and one guy actually got caught.

Is it really that bad? Is there another site where things are noticeably better in that regard?

Most typically don't cheat but some do

Better not to assume all are cheating but lichess has less cheaters (but slightly weaker detection)

Does lichess make any statements or publish any reports on either of those things? If not, how could we know whether either of those assertions is true?

I'm not sure but from my experience it just doesn't feel like as many cheaters as on chees.com but there are some

Lichess is open sourced even if they didn't publish it you probably could find it

You should ask mgleason he knows more about what sources they use Ibut I do know how lichees cheat detection system works

Trust the system and continue to enjoy playing. Cheaters are relatively rare and the platform does its best to minimize their impact.
