If you have specific questions, feel free to send me a message :) just wanting to “get better” is a bit vague.

Improving at chess can be quite challenging, but there are various ways to enhance your skills.

For those looking to improve without coaching, here's some valuable advice:

1. Play Frequently: The more you play, the better you'll become at recognizing patterns and making strategic decisions.
2. Analyze Your Games: Review your past games to identify mistakes and areas where you can improve. This self-analysis is a powerful learning tool.
3. Focus on Tactics: Tactics play a crucial role in chess. Spend time solving tactical puzzles and exercises to sharpen your tactical skills.
4. Learn from Masters: Studying grandmaster games can provide insights into advanced strategies and tactics.

Learn the King’s indian setup to be safe from scholars mate and fried livers, learn how to mate with a king and a queen, and a king and a rook. Focus on blundering less than your opponent. As soon as you get a winning advantage(6+), trade everything to the naked kings and deliver a checkmate!

Same answer as to to most things. If you want to get better at something then you should practice. Well planned practice is more efficient than disorganised practice. How much your practice should be planned depends on many things. It might be better just to play for fun and practice that way. At the other end of the scale is to get a coach which might prove to be a waste of money and kill your passion.

@chomponhangingpieces I’m surprised you keep commenting on these. I imagine it’s harder to improve if your accounts keep getting banned for abuse?
