Looking at your first game, what do you think you did wrong in the game?
How do I get better at chess?

The first game was pretty solid until I (black) blundered my rook on move 15, then it made it really improbable for me to win that game
That's certainly the major mistake. What other mistakes do you think you made in the game? Both before and after blundering your rook.

Honestly, I think it was a loss cause after that so I have no clue.

Number one tip is never make a move with no plan. every move needs a reason and plan. Stop playing moves just for the hell of it or because it looks right. You need to know why it looks right
Try the stonewall opening. Use it as a guide to become a better player. Its an easy opening that will help u understand chess basics and principles
First you should learn more openings. It can give you more choices. It is also important to consider your style. For example, if you like attacking you can learn the Greenfield.
Then you should also solve varieties of chess puzzels, including middle game, end game……

your welcome
Only play 2-3 15 mins game/day and analyze them thoroughly.
NO BLITZ/BULLET
30 mins tactics training.
Stop hanging pieces even at risk of playing passively
Do this and soon you will back over 500 then you can worry about opening & endgames

Thank you! Working on learning the Indian game right now. Had two brilliants in a game just now with 39 accuracy due to 8 "blunders" (tactical oversights)
I used to be a 500 elo but I became rusty so now I am around 200-300 range. (I know kind of horrible) I want to get better at chess but I need some tips? Can you give me tips on how too?
