I have just created my account yesterday and I have played 10 games so far. Every time I try to join the club tournament, a message pops up and says " You are currently unable to join this match. In order to protect matches, players who are new to chess.com must be active on the site before they can join. Once your account is a little older and you have played more games, you will be eligible to play" How old does my account have to be and how many games do i have to play?

If you are trying to play a Daily tournament, you may have to play daily games to meet that requirement.

For live, you need enough games in the the pool of the tournament. So, if it is a rapid event, you'll need completed rapid game, if it's blitz you'll need blitz games.  If course, how many is needed can depend on the event.

I am not so sure that any of the above answers are true. As a Club administrator whenever I set up a Club members only chess tournament, one of the factors or questions that I need to answer is how many games do members need to play before they can participate in the tournament. I usually set that at zero (0). So as long as you are a club member you should participate in your own club tournament. If you have problems, contact your Club administrator.
