How do players of enormous rating disparity feel when play each other?

Say, one rated over 2000 and the other around 1000. No handicap.

I want to know the feeling of both.

weak player: "I will lose"

strong player: "I can only lose"

strong player: "I just hope I don't fall asleep."

weak player: "I just hope he falls asleep."

strong player: Why black , I prefer white against weak players

weak player: Why white, I prefer black against strong players

If you play a much stronger player it is important not to be timid and shy away from complications. You will probably lose either way, but if the game becomes simple and boring the strong player will win effortlessly. On the other hand, don't be too aggressive. Probably a bad idea to play speculative sac.

I played Wesely So in Las Vegas.  I was rated 750 at the time.  He was 2700 or something like that.

Honestly, it was thrilling!  I did my best but he of course crushed me.

And I was smiling the whole time.

     Strong Player;  "I'm gonna piss all over this guy".                                                            Weak Player;  "Jesus, all I wanted to do was GO to the bathroom, not BE the bathroom.

Weak player: I bet he hasn't heard of the Budapest!

2000+ player: Probably I can win this game without using stockfish
