There was many occasions when I could do en passant but couldn't on chess.com, playing on iPhone. How can a share a game to illustrate this?

I can't see why so many are having troubles with this. It works for me. Perhaps you are waiting longer than the immediate next move? The option only exists for the next move, after which the pawns are no longer able to execute the EP capture.
