I'm going to dwell into a topic most people don't really talk about. Dealing with a loss.

We all hate the feeling. It sucks. You put in tons of effort, thinking, and time and you wind up losing the game. We all want to win but losing is a part of the experience.

Everybody has their ways of handling a loss. So how do you overcome a defeat positively without getting too angry? Tongue Out

Yo heres the thing to me man. It's difficult cause, in my opinion, you need a middle ground. You have to care enough so that when you play, you have a will to win... but you have to *not care* enough so that when you lose, it doesnt effect you negativly too much.

If the loss affects to the point where it breaks your well being, than you are caring too much. If you totally don't care when you lose and you feel absolutly nothing at all... then you probably have no passion for the game and no will to learn.

I think it's normal too be salty, as long as you don't overdue it, in which case it means that you attach chess too much with with your own value ( if I lose I aint shit...im stupid.. I should just quit..etc  if I win then I am a superior human being etc, )

Now for your question , how I personally deal with a loss, in the moment where the salt is here..for me only time can heal it.. especially if it's a stupid blunder.. it hurts and it makes me mad.. but you can't stop those emotions from coming , but you can chose what do do with it. Like using it to force yourself to never blunder again.. and get to the point where you only lose to TRULY BETTER players or SMARTER PLAY/STRATEGY.

Exactly my thoughts as well.

The pain is what makes you stronger. Kinda like tearing your muscles up working out so that they come back bigger and better.

Luckily my opponent was humble in victory. The pricks sting the most.
