Yes I can reLate
How do you prevent mouseslips?

There is an option in the settings in chess.com that allows you to confirm your move before you play it. And yes i can relate, I was once having this large-scale kingside attack when I accidentally mouse slipped and blundered my queen

It's probably better if you don't drag the pieces, but instead click on the squares. (First the piece, next the destination).

I actually knew this was a feature but totally forgot about it, I'll try it out, thank you

Mouseslips are annoying, and when you lose a game you should've won because of something unrelated to the game itself, it's totally unfair. In terms of preventing mouseslips, there's not much you can do other than letting go of the piece while your mouse is stationary: after you've dragged your piece to the target square, hold it there, without moving, for about a second, then let go. Unless you're low on time, obviously.

Clicking on squares is bad advice for some people, especially for me, as that's how most of my mouseslips happen.

I prefer dragging, so I probably will stick to that I already did some clicking when I was doing puzzles not a fan, guess I am a lost cause, however hopefully now I am more aware of mouse slips.
I would have been at my peak rating today if it wasn't for a silly little mouse slip, Move 82 I meant to go Re6 which is what the engine says is the best move so like I definitely had the right approach to deal with this situation then I blink and then my rook is gone, my mouse slipped and I hung the piece, pretty upsetting but I ain't gonna cry about already spilt milk, anyways I know I am probably going to get the answer "just don't touch your mouse until you decided to make your move", as this is effective I am probably not going to do it, just because I probably won't anyways I may just be a loss cause who knows, no hate to my opponent he played well it's just sad to see when your in a equal position and you know how to approach that situation then your mouse slips and you lose the game can anyone else relate?
