How do you view vote chess?

How is vote chess most accurately described: dictatorship of an elite? rule of a mob? chaos unleashed?

Often times tyranny of the majority makes elaborate plans fall apart in vote chess.

I think it depends on the group.  I'm in a few different groups and each one deals with it differently.

I didn't enjoy that game because of that and because of all the fighting going on in the comments.  It made it tough to find the comments (by people like IM_Cheap and others) I wanted to read and learn from.

Even on a team that has 6 members, you often get only 2 active ones and occassional lose moves to drive-bys. 

I don't mind the occasional tussle among well-meaning teammates, regardless of rating. Yes, it's the "drive-by's" who scuttle any semblance of direction
