if you removed every single human from the planet, climate change would still continue as it's always happened for millions for years, we're even overdue an ice age, whilst people contribute to the increase in the warming of the planet (and they do) it's not worth spending your life worrying about it. People often talk about 'warmest decade on record' - doesn't that sound amazing, but not when you realise those records have only been kept for the last 140 years, bearing in mind the planet is over 4.5 billion years old.
Planes are never going to be grounded, there's almost 10,000 planes in the sky at any given point in time carrying over a million people, you can do the maths to work that out yearly, and it's transportation that is one the biggest cause of greenhouse gases, even the mere production of electricity is just as big a cause as transportation, electricity being the so called green energy. In the last 14 years alone, China has consumed more coal then the rest of world combined and they're not slowing down, India are also burning record amounts of fossil fuels and they both try to increase living standards, two countries, more than one third of the world's population.
Fighting climate change in 'developed countries' to combat global warming is almost futile when you bare that in mind, chocolate teapots come to mind. I don't particularly care about all of this save the planet stuff, I'd rather play chess and save myself the headache, I'll be dead within 50 years , I rather go to the grave knowing I reached 2000 rating than sit and worry myself sick about sea levels rising 2 centimetres instead.
Having said all that, I assume the opening poster is on the wind up anyway.
What...?
