I guess that proves he's a dingaling. First not playing the Ne4 move to trade off the minors; second taking the protection from the knight and allowing the Ba3 idea by playing b3; third by not grabbing the offered draw in half a heartbeat.

It's pretty nice of him to share such a bad game with the whole youtube gang, so he gets back a few respect points for that.

Game 5 at move 14. Opponent sacked a pawn and according to the engine should sack another for still insufficient compensation. That's going to be wild again.

Hmm, where do you see that. According to L***chess, the game starts in 40 minutes...

I used https://www.chess.com/events/2022-ny-winter-invitational-gm-a/09/Rozman_Levy-Wang_Kevin which looks like an ongoing game, but it apparently isn't.

Ah thanks... Or L*chess has a delay...

Regardless of Levy's performance in this tournament he is a (much)  stronger  player than anyone on this thread.  Achieving IM strength and the title that goes with it is something that very few chess players manage.  He does not deserve the rudeness and disrespect that some on this thread have shown.

Thanks for writing this -- it deserves to be said.  His first game -- as black -- he drew a guy rated in the 2460-something.  How many here can do that?

No, I think that link is just misleading. Nothing is happening there and it's labeled round 9.

But strange, where does that position come from? Time machine?

YEah -- I have  no idea what that round 9 game is -- but the actual game going on now is https://www.chess.com/events/2022-ny-winter-invitational-gm-a/05/Liang_Jason-Rozman_Levy

Again burning plenty of time in the opening where the average player would just go BF4. I bet he's figuring out some crazy stuff again. Probably thinking: yes BF4 is good, but is it content?

Sred

Oh wait, was looking at that round 9 gain again.

Liliana_chss

I like his commentary, very educational, I don’t know how good he is relative to GMs though.

Sred

Good to know that he will have a decent position after the opening in round 9!

Definitely not good enough to merit 1400+ posts.

BCchessnut

Levy loses game 5.

2 draws 3 losses, I believe.

Though it's much less if you subtract the amount of posts that just say that posting here is not worth it.

NikkiLikeChikki

@sred - still leaves about 12 posts which is still too many.

Good at what?

At playing he is almost good- so far his highest rating is about the same as mine many years ago.

As a chess streamer and YT influencer, he is total junk, which explains why he has so many followers.

That's not very nice!

But it is true

ericthatwho

the reason GothamChess and Hichy are not good and never will be is because of YouTube and calling cheat or hater.

JamesBW09

He is good but I don't really think that will be a gm, I mean he could, but I don't think so

DrSpudnik

The chatter where he gives his thought processes during the games is not reassuring.

BCchessnut

Levy gets a draw against Nikolas Theodorou

now 3 draws 3 losses- next 2 games are also against Gms
