Look, Buster, just because you started a thread does not mean you own it or are the imperial dictator of it. Tongue Out

p.s. No one asked for YOUR advice because you are clueless.

I haven't studied the Leningrad or Najdorf in ages yet know so much of it and when reviewing chess problems I haven't done in months I can apply the same solution so at least fairly decent.  The key to remembering things is not just repetition during a solitary study but many practice games to ensure you "know" the variation.  I can look at certain positions and say, "Spassky vs.Fischer, Mar Del Plata 1960!"  Or, "Smyslov vs. Najdorf, Zurich 1953!" (though that one was a very short draw) or, "Lasker vs. Schlechter round 7!" or, "Bogojubov-Lasker St.Petersburg 1925!" which involved a very difficult yet admirable defense by Lasker and a game fragment is featured in Shereshevsky's Endgame Strategy.
