How is Google Books legal?

@Nomadic Knight, who says: "You can find everything on the internet."

Nope, not unless you are only looking for stupid stuff, like "What was the release date of The Fifth Dimension's second album" and what not.

Sure kid.

Just another college dropout kid that thinks he's a genius now because he can "google" stuff and pretend like he knows what he's talking about.

Tell me, then, if you can "find anything on the internet," what exactly happened at the Battle of Mons in 1944.  Thanks.

You're such an idiot, munch. "Tell me about 1944"! If you don't know it, and refer to google, you are not learning!

Get off your high horse, which is a pony.

I love how you associate anyone that disagrees with you as one that has had no formal education. You could have a Doctorate degree, yet you still spew idiocy.

Let me be clear-google is a reliable tool for information.

Thanks for the proclamation ex cathedra.  Glad we cleared that up.  Any other formal edicts you'd like to make, O Great One?

I asked about the Battle of Mons in 1944, not "tell me about 1944".  I also invited him (and you for that matter) to attempt to find this information on the internet, seeing as how he said "everything is on the internet."

Of course details and critical thinking probably aren't your strong point.  You are just here to throw around insults and bile.  Perhaps you should, um, move out of that foreclosed house and get a life, son. Smile

Presumably the authors/publishers allow it because they think it would lead to increased sales. I wouldn't read part of a novel.

Gogol's Dead Souls must have really pissed you off.

I was thinking The Mystery of Edwin Drood.

@Nomadic Knight.  Not everything is on the internets.  If so, use the internet to research the Battle of Mons in 1944.   Then summarize for us what happened at said battle.
