You can reach 2000 in 1 year, but only with hard and smart work.
how long does it takes to reach 2000 rating?
Hallo there!
I would suggest you to not think about being 2000 right now. That is 550 rating points above yours. Now, I'm not saying you can't be 2000, and you have potential to be 2000, but from 1450 to 2000 is a big task. You need to divide this task into segments, such as: 1450 to 1600, 1600 to 1700, 1700 to 1840, 1840 to 1950, and 1950 to 2000, and you will reach there.
It seems like this will take forever, but if you stick to a plan, give necessary breaks, and stay focused, you are going to reach 2000 quicker than you know it. But not only that, you MIGHT discover the truth about chess. Every sport has a meaning, and this journey could tell you the true meaning.

Vary greatly depending on several factors, including your current skill level, dedication to improvement, study habits and the amount of time you devote to practicing and playing chess.

I made a thread with similar goal, and wanted to see how far I can go by just focussing on moves rather than studying openings or tactics. I beleive I have firmly established myself as a 1700 just by paying more attention to my games and 1800 seems like a matter of time if I have free time to play chess. Given my progress, I believe you can easily be a 1800 in a month or two. Beyond that is a territory I don't believe I am qualified to answer yet. My intuition however tells me that it should be achievable in a couple of months if I try and study chess.
its been an year since i had playing chess. at the start like for like about 6-8 months i just used to play chess for fun, i didnt used to analyse, learn any openings. my whole aim used to be to capture opponents pieces and not thinking about any mates. later i realised about mates, draws , stalemate. my current rating is around 1450. so how long would it take for me to reach 2000?
