Hello everyone I was wondering how long will it take with serious training to become a NM. I started playing seriously in January of 2020 on chess.com. I started at 500 and in April of 2021 I’m 1700. I haven’t played OTB yet because of Covid but I’m hoping to play OTB soon.

It depends on your age. If you are still young and a minor, it's possible to gain improvement rapidly. The younger you are, the quicker you learn.

I’m 14 so I’m still young

The answer to that question depends on several factors: 1.  Do you have the ability to learn quickly and apply what you have learned to the game? 2. How motivated are you to learn and practice the game? 3. Are there any OTB tourneys near you that are USCF-rated and how often are they held?  4.  Can you afford to attend OTB tourneys that require spending at least a couple of nights at a hotel?

If the answer to all of these questions are yes, then you might be able to go from 0 to NM relatively quickly (i.e. within 5 years).  Otherwise, it might take a bit longer. If I were you, I would just focus on achieving the Candidate Master title first before thinking about the National Master title.
