How many people in the world do you think have not Played Chess?

Vince the Gimp from my neighborhood thinks he plays chess, but in reality he doesn't. I guess that counts for one.

According to a statistical study at Kiowa University, approximately 32.7% of the world's population has never played a game of chess.
(jk, there's no such thing as Kiowa University)

Having played chess or knowing the rules of how to play, is very diferent from being a chess-player in the stictest sence. Almost everyone in the western world at least know how the pieces move, but few know what an Alekhine defence is.
If i had to pick a number i would say about 80% of the entire world population has never played chess.

I think you overestimate how many people know how the pieces move. My wife doesn't, my sister doesn't, and I doubt my mom does either.

There are about 7,000,000,000 people, 1,200 grandmasters, 64 chess squares, 32 chess pieces, 42 is the meaning of life, Neapolitan ice cream has 3 different flavors, and my cat has about 26 whiskers.
1,200 * 64 * 32 * 26 * 42 * 3 = 8,051,097,600
8,051,097,600 - 7,000,000,000 = 1,051,097,600
1,051,097,600 is the approximate number of people who haven't played chess.
Quod erat demonstrandum.

Why must it be so hard to resist such drivel?
Like a moth to the flame, I happily went.
I am at work. What else am I going to do?

Well, if there are 6 billion people living on earth, I think 2-3 billion people have not played chess.
I don't Know but I think around 1-2 Million
