I would venture a guess that most of the people in the world have never even heard of chess.
How many people in the world do you think have not Played Chess?

Randomly pick 30 persons (how to do it is the creative part),
ask them if they've played the game,
divided their number by 30, and
you'll get the approximate percentage of people who've played chess.

7 x 6 also known as 42
I believe, sir, that you mean 6 times nine, also known as 42 :D
As for the actual number, I'll say 3,141,592,653.5897932384626433832795, give or take a billion
6 times nine is 54 sir. I stand by 7 times 6 equals 42. Do you really play chess without knowing your times tables?

I presumed that your choice of 42 was a reference to The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, the wonderful series of novels by Douglass Adams. I therefore reciprocated with another referrence.
In the books (and this is a pretty rough-cut paraphrasing from someone who hasn't read them in the last several years), there's basically a computer (Earth) which can answer any question, though at the cost of a long time. They ask it What is the meaning of life, the universe, and everything? The answer it gives is 42. Later, Arthur Dent works out the question to be "What do you get if you multiply six by nine?"
most of the world do not know how to play, thats for sure... go and ask about 10 people randomly on the street and you will find out!
