I don't use an engine until I'm analyzing after the game and while some of my opponents found outstanding moves that killed me after I had a material advantage, that's to be occasionally expected, so I've never had a reason to suspect my opponents used an engine.
If someone uses an engine on rare occasions against me, he's cheating himself because he's not playing chess - he's just an intermediate mechanism for Stockfish or Houdini or whatever is really playing the game.
I just finished a game with a player who was obviously using an engine. i know there is no way to regulate that, but its getting extremely old.
And when you call them out on it, they become verbally abusive and act like children.
Anyway, just saying I’m getting tired of it and thinking of exiting chess.com because of it.
