how many think of you think bullet chess games are waste

I played to experience it. but I Saw in that even if we had winning position and have no time then we will lose.
I do not care to play bullet. It does not matter if I "suck" at it or not.
There is no time to use your intellect - just move pieces.
I think the best time for a game is 10 minutes. Not too fast or slow. Bullet games of 1- 3 minutes are popular because people don't really want to think, they want action. But these same people shouldn't think that they have done something clever when they've won a bullet game because both sides made plenty of mistakes in their rush to finish. There is some strategy involved but a lot is missed because it 's too fast to see.

Sometimes it is a waste when other times it helps with pattern recognition. I.e after studying in longer time controls.

I think that if you think too much during a bullet game you will think bullet is a waste.
If if you play longer time controls you will play less games. Less games = less experience. If I am 20 seconds in and I have to spend too much time on 1 move, my opponent made a good move.

I tried some bullet just to experience it. It feels like a video arcade game where you shoot at the moving ducks and that it's all about hand and eye coordination and no time to think.
But, if it's fun for some people, that's OK. Just not for me.

I Agree i haven't played bullet in awhile I've been playing Blitz but I think Bullet is Fun to play
It used to be for me. But the arcade kids are just too quick.

Add me to the list of people that feel its Pretty ridiculous and silly...
unless you are a very serious strong player who is well balanced between study and slow, serious games. For them- it IS surely a chance to improve their ability to make reasonable snap decisions and very quick move.
most of cc lightning/bullet is just a bunch of kids guessing with no insight, and a very low rating.

It is like strobe lighting, it completely disorients you, and you make moves you would never otherwise make. Once you are a few seconds behind, you know that normal good moves are not going to save you.
How many times will a guy sac pieces when ahead on time just to make sure he staves off mate for those vital seconds?
