how much have you progressed since you were a beginner?

My initial rating in this site is 1800+.
( Most of my beginner games were against Deep Junior , Chess master engines and some unrated OTB tournments)
when i first started on chess.com I thought that 1400s were freakish infallible and that I would never be able to beat one in my entire life. i guess i was blind to how bad i was.

I'm still a beginner, but I've progressed enough to help teach other beginners. I've only been playing a bit over 50 years.

that's cool. i guess my improvement has largely due to been the nootropics and supplements that I have been taking. I presently take a magic pill called Optimind it's expensive but easily worth the money.
i haven't seen the movie Limitless but people who want to make this point frequently say .. 'like in the movie Limitless'

I started playing chess 3 months ago , I have a goal to go up 100 points per month in daily chess .

modafinil is great stuff but tolerance kicks in pretty soon. it's not a good drug for the long haul. try alpha brain or optimind. much much better.

I have tried all of them but don't think anything beats living a healthy lifestyle. I used to take them regularly in College but since then haven't used them. You have to be very careful with these things, there are so many neurological disorders that can occur due to adverse effects of these medicines. Optimind is still the safest among all.
yeah i know. i've tried bromocriptine, cabergoline, pramipexole,citicoline, piracetam, caffeine, nicotine, SAMe, and a dozen other things but only optimind really works.
yeah i know. classical stuff.
Started out 2 years ago on another account, but closed it because I was busy with other things. I had trouble getting out of 1000s back then. Today I'm currently sitting in 1400s all time controls I play.
Started at 1200 went down to 800, now back at 1100.
