How much tactic training should you do per day?

More than I do. When the number of games I’ve played exceeds the number of tactics I’ve solved, things are out of balance.

Something tells me there is more to it than that. 😉 You’re ahead of most of us Mr. Ziryab.

2,776 games & 19,457 puzzles for me, although that doesn't seem to include the 12,891 puzzle rushes that i've attempted thus far? 😜

All time will remain out of balance.

But, the past year has been on track.

12,891 rushes times an average score of 24.9 (40/50/72 pbs for 3 min/5 min/survival, but lots of failure resets) yields 320,985.9 puzzles, plus 10,794 standard puzzles = 331,779.9 puzzles solved... almost 1/3 of a million! 😆

Ziryab

That's a lot!

30 solid minutes of tactics but focused ones where you try to be accurate and get them right. It's important to be accurate so you can find the patterns and learn them.

Magnus carlsen trains for around 30 hours a day, so you should at least train for 25 hours a day to be even decent.
