Everyone is different and makes progress at different speeds. Bear in mind there is some intangible theoretical maximum level your potential will run out at. Assuming you could reach 1800 then set yourself a year to achieve it. Whether you do or how close you get will tell you what target to set next. Good luck sir.

How much time is needed for me to improve to the level of those with rating 1800?
I am 23 years old.
From what I understand to improve it is good to set decent but not too high level to reach. And when you reach it or get close to it, increase the level you are trying to reach. Is 1800 a good one, or should I lower it for now to 1600? And increase it when I am closer to 1800?
