how much time do you spend per day studying/playing chess?

I'm a beginner with a demanding life, so currently about 3 hours/day on average
Do you only spend the 3 hours playing or do you also do other forms of training? (ex: puzzles)

Do you only spend the 3 hours playing or do you also do other forms of training? (ex: puzzles)
I play 1 or 2 games online and/or 1 or 2 OTB (1-2hr)
Do the daily puzzle and probably 3 or 4 others (20 mins)
Do a few drills (20mins)
Follow online courses/lessons (2+ hours)
But I sometimes don't have time to do all that, so it averages at 3 hours a day

None.
so you just answer forums?
Basically, yes. I'm in my late 60s and nearly blind. Playing chess is now a strain.
My guess is around 4 hours per day on average, but it depends on the day.
About 1/3 playing+analyzing the played games, 1/3 doing tactics puzzles and 1/3 studying strategy, openings, endgames etc.
Although some of the study time could be considered playing as well, because I also play daily chess, where books are allowed. I find it a good way to keep studying more interesting.
The study time consists of books, video lessons, drills and so on.
EDIT: Maybe 2-3 hours/day on average is more realistic. Some days it's more, but some days it is less also....

around 5 a day
how is it possible that you do so much chess and still at 900? Have you just started or do you just waste these 5 hours/day watching gothamchess shorts?

Not much right now, but when I'm not so busy hopefully at least half an hour to an hour a day of studying...
It seems to me that the better players spend less time on chess
What you have got here is a very limited amount of replies and even this very limited amount consists of the players own estimations. I would not draw any conclusions whatsoever from this.
I used to read out to 5 plies for major pieces and 3 plies for minor pieces. Now I read 2 plies for major pieces, and 1 ply for minor pieces.

At home: 1 hour a day of serious study, and maybe 30 minutes of blitz at school.
When I'm at a tournament I spend maybe 8-10 hours playing and another 2 or 3 studying.
