I guess people are more precise in endgames. There are less pieces to blunder with.

I have played many games with some people who play a sloppy opening and okay ish middle game but in endgame they defend it perfectly and range of players I have played with is 800-1500.
Is just their luck or they cheat in endgame so that they don't get caught
