Should a screen like above appear on the site?
How quickly can you see a mate in one?
Well it should request that you download the Unity web player if you don't have it installed, otherwise yeah. If that's not working are you able to download the standalone mac/windows builds at the bottom of the screen?
My target platform is going to be ios and android, and porting to different devices is easiest with Unity/c# in my experience.
I wanted to try it out for you, but it is not possible. I have a Debian distro and Unity is not supporting it.
Thanks Loek, I've added a linux downloadable to the site, if its not too much to ask could you see if that works?
Thanks for creating one, but this one does not work.
There are whitespaces in the executable, hence is Linux interpreting the first part of the name as the file to start. That is in the name 'Mate in One.x86' only 'Mate'. It will not run therefor. Could you upload a new distro with no whitespaces in the names? (Preferrably also not in the names of maps etc.)
Aoxomoxoa made a similar web app about 6 months ago if anyone is interested in comparing the two.

I do not see any porn where do you see it? The Queen is not dressed up perhaps?
I've updated the linux build Loek, I hope it works now!
Nice highscore MSC157 :o
Thanks for the link SilentKnight :)
Rather than post link to ask for money just post right here your mates in one and I will not mate you as I only mate women.
Don't worry that stronger players might find Mate In Ones too easy.
Think of all the people who might find Mate In Twos too difficult.
By working through the Mate In Ones they will (presumably) be learning to recognise certain patterns: Dovetail Mate; Arabian Mate etc.
Using your puzzle game would help weaker players to develop the skills and confidence to tackle more difficult puzzles... so be ready to follow up your first game with another (more difficult) one not too long after!
Hi, I've been working on a small chess puzzle game where you try to solve mate in one puzzles in under 10 seconds for as long as you can.
This is still just an early prototype, so it would be extremely valuable for me to hear what you think about the difficulty of the game so I can make adjustments and add different modes. (I'm rather worried that stronger players will be able to solve the puzzles indefinitely).
Even more importantly though, is is the game actually fun to play? And if not, what can I do to make it more enjoyable?
You can play here: http://sebastian.itch.io/mate-in-one
(Web build requires Unity web player, otherwise mac and windows downloads are available too)
Thanks for your time :)
